Sterilization Equipments and Controls for Patient Safety
 At
Bangkok International Dental Center (BIDC), we regard hygienic
standards at the highest level in protecting our patients.
BIDC has strict sterilization policies and controls in place. Our dental center is ISO9001 UKAS certified for its dental services management system as well as its sterilization system. BIDC has control checks in place to provide a clean,
disinfected environment for each individual patient. Policies are
in place to ensure that all rooms and equipment are
properly set up and sterilized daily and after each
use.
The BIDC dental complex itself is a specially designed dental building. The dental building is fitted with high-powered air ventilation suction system throughout the building to ensure that contaminates and harmful vapours in the air is removed from treatment rooms.
Our dental appliances are individually packed and sealed
by our impulse autosealer machine then autoclaved by
our pre-vacuumed autoclave units in viewpacks for each
patient. Every pack of dental appliances are dated to
uphold high standards of sterilisation. BIDC carries a variety of
the most advance sterilization machines and equipments in
protecting the safety of our patients:
Pre-vacuumed Autoclave Unit
An autoclave is a device that uses steam to sterilise equipment
and instruments. This means that all bacteria, viruses, fungi,
and spores are inactivated.
BIDC uses the top range autoclave unit from Dabi Atlante
and Topster to processes instruments effectively. It has a
self-managed micro-processed controller, ensures perfect functioning
during autoclaving. The new pre-vacuumed technology ensures
that the instruments are completely sterilised reliably and
consistently. Thereafter, all our instruments are protectively
vacuumed packaged until required.

Specialized Autoclave Unit
for Clinical Handpieces
 The
MELAquick12 unit from Melag, Germany is an autoclave unit
designed specially for the sterilzation of dental handpieces,
contra-angles, and turbines.
The MELAquick12 operates with a single-use (non-reusable)
water system. The system operates according to the advanced
principle of external steam generation disinfecting dental
instruments on the inside where it is most important.

3M Attest Sterilization Verification System
 In addition to having autoclave machines and equipments going through the sterilization process, BIDC uses an advance Biological Sterilization Indicator Verification System called 3M Attest to monitoring our autoclaved processes. The 3M Attest sterilization is a proven and reliable system with a 20 year product history to verify the effectiveness of sterilization efforts becuase having simply having pressure-steam machines or autoclaves does not garanteed total sterilization. BIDC takes an additional infection control and sterilizations is of top priority.

Maintenance Units
 Correct
cleaning and lubrication are essential to the function and
long working life of dental instruments. Our clinic uses the
Assistina air-driven maintenance unit designed for straight
and contra-angle dental handpieces, turbines, air motors and
air-driven scalers.
The Assistina cleaning and flushing through the spray air
channels prevents the build-up of scale and keeps the fine
spray nozzles free. Its automatic oil dispensing system guarantees
optimum lubrication that allows minimal friction and less
wear to the instruments.

Suction Units
 The
suction system is one of the most important items in the dental
practice that makes a vital contribution to practice hygeine
and protection against infection.
Our clinic uses suction machines from
Durr Dental from Germany. The Durr suction unit uses
is a power motor designed for continous suction operation
in eliminating secretions and solids at the same time. The
machine uses air flow and centrifugal force to separate liquids
and solids without water for additional reliability and safety
for patients.

Autosealing machine and sterile storage
Sterile storage is an essential link
in the hygiene chain. Between removal from the authoclave
and their next use, sterilized tems must be stored so
as to be protected from contamination. The sterilization
packages are specially designed for steam steriliation
and is imperviousto micro-organisms.
Our impulse autosealer machine is used to seal instruments
into the sterile storage packages before steriliaing
them in an autoclave. The autosealer device applies
precise sealing pressure to produce optimal sealing
seams. The packages are then autoclaved by our pre-vacuumed
autoclave units in viewpacks for each patient and dated
for reference |
