At Bangkok International Dental Center (BIDC), our dental clinic in Bangkok is fully equipped with
our very own 3D CT Scan, digital x-ray machines, intra-oral cameras and film processor. This enables
our patients to get their diagnosis results instantly and
treatment plan drawn up effectively in one visit.
Bangkok International Dental Center (BIDC) is the first dental clinic in Thailand utilizing the latest ProMax 3D CT Scans by Planmeaca. The digital 3D Scan is designed to obatin complete information on patient anatomy in the minutest detail for detailed diagnoses and treatment planning. The CT Scan units provide digital panoramic, cephalometric, and 3D imaging, as well as advanced imaging software tools to comply with every possible need in dental radiology. Planmeca ProMax 3D s is ideal for imaging of small details, the 3D concept covers the whole dentition area and enables imaging of the whole maxillofacial region.
The latest Promax panoramic digital x-ray from Planmeca
provides its superior image qualitty
and wide range of exposure possibilities. Planmeca Promax
provides anatomically correct panoramic radiographs.
The focal layer follows the scientifically assessed
form of the human jaw which results in images with clearly
superior clinical quality.
With vertical segmenting, the exposed area can be limited
only to the area of diagnostic interest. Simple selection
on the main display, and the patient dose can be reduced
by up to 80% compared to a full area panoramic exposure.
This is highly advantageous and radiation hygienic in
cases where a follow-up image is needed of a limited
part of the jaw.
The Planmeca Dimax digital imaging system is based
on the latest CCD technology, providing digital radiographs
of high diagnostic quality. The digital Planmeca Promax unit has the unique
Automatic Gain Control (AGC), which optimizes the sensitivity
of the digital sensor to produce optimum image quality
from each individual.
Panoramic and Cephalometric Analogue X-ray
Machine
As dentistry has advanced beyond basic care into new areas
such as implantology, cosmetics, and other treatments of the
entire dento-maxillo-facial complex, so too must the diagnostic
tools keep pace with the need for a higher quality of general
and specific information.
Our
clinic is equipped with the new Orthoralix 9200 X-ray system
from Gendex. It is currently quoted as the most innovative
system available today for radiological examinations over
the whole maxillo-facial structure.
The Orthoralix 9200 X-ray system has programs that allows
configuring the system to the actual diagnostic requirements.
It is a professional tool designed to provide a complete set
of pre- and post-operative examinations giving the wide range
of radiographic views.
Gendex has had a long-standing experience in panoramic radiology.
The X-ray generator is driven by the microprocessor to precisely
combine rotation with forward-backward and right-left movements.
Our
clinics has four intraoral x-ray machines from BlueX, Dabi
Atlante and Gendex available. The intraoral x-ray machines
provide simple and fast slide x-rays that enables our dental
specialists to make the proper diagnoses for our patients.
The
beam limiting device of the BlueX intra-oral x-ray machine
allows the reduction of a patient’s exposure to radiation.
Its microprocessor allows tooth type and patient size inputs
to determine time values and control radiation dose reduction
when using digital receptors.
Dabi
Atlante's intra-oral x-ray machines are known for providing
safety and precision. Its selection of Radiography type, tooth
type and position, film and patient’s age allows for
better radiographic quality and precise film exposition adjustment.
Its automatic time correction device corrects automatically
the exposure time, according to the voltage oscillations in
the electrical power source, keeping the radiation levels
steady.
The Dabi Atlante's intra-oral x-ray machine has a dual collimation
system that eliminates the formation of secondary rays in
the primary beam, avoiding any unnecessary exposure to the
patient thus minimizing health risks.
In addition, the camera's
accidental activation blocking mechanism prevents consecutive
shooting, eliminating unnecessary exposure to radiation and
overheating.
For our analogue x-rays at BIDC@Siam Square, our clinic uses a Film Processor to develop x-ray films
so that our patients get their results almost instantly. The Processor
is a closed chemical system, sealing both wash water and chemistry.
The film processor processes intraoral, panoramic and cephalometric films.
Temperature, time and film drying are fully automatic allowing
for quality x-ray film processing.
