Considerations to Laser Tooth Whitening
There
are several factors that you might want to consider when deciding
on doing laser tooth whitening.
Normal conventional bleaching solutions can cause tooth sensitivity
thus discomfort, especially during the earliest period of
the bleaching treatment. With laser tooth whitening, post-procedure
sensitivity is reduced. Patients can reduce tooth sensitivity
by avoiding citrus fruits and acidic drinks for the duration
of the treatment.
An improperly-fitted mouthguard or gel that has come in contact
with the gums may lead to soft tissue irritation if patient
use home blenching. No mouthguards are used in laser tooth
whitening.
